Personal Statement

Biostatistics in accordance to me is considered to be a perfect blend of God’s 2 vital creation namely biology and mathematics. I believe biology to be the one of the most exquisite concept, created by God where on another hand, mathematics is something that is being used by the God as a language to communicate us about the universe and describe its actuality. Biological statistics also termed as biostatistics is known to serve as a base for developing the life disciplines. I have always aspired to contribute to such grand initiative of biostatistics and take part to enhance my own exploratory expertise as well. From my early days of education, I was very much fascinated with both mathematics and statistics and always tried to involve these 2 as my major subjects in high school as well.

It together relates to my career objectives where I am keen to enrich my research skills in certain related areas of Biostatistics. This involves some key areas of Biochemistry, Genomics, Biophysics, Analytical biochemistry and structural biology. Biostatistics is basically a subdivision of statistics which is known to deal with such information that relates to living creatures. This amplified my level of interest towards it and met my research interest where the Biostatisticians are known to investigate using their quantitative skills. I also believe to possess such quantifiable expertise that is apparent to assist me in continuing with this field. I have graduated in Biochemistry and has also been rewarded scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education in Saudi Arabia and is now willing to pursue Master degree in Biostatistics.

I have completed my higher studies with 2 major subjects that are Mathematics and Chemistry and have earned 96.12% GPA to position myself in the list of top students. Later, I have completed my bachelors in science with competent grades and major subject in biochemistry. After which, I was offered membership of biochemistry club from the King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. This contributed in enhancing my research interest in some specific subject matters that involved Metabolic, protein engineering, organelle, etc. I am keen to investigate the physiochemical underpinning of protein function in complicated systems of biomedical discipline, accompanied by new biochemical technologies. Also, I am very much interested in researching about the processing of cell to cell communication in bacteria.

This will assist me to further determine the role of immune proteins in forming, functioning and regulating the neuronal connectivity. Beside this, I am deeply interested in investigating the inflections of proteomic- genomic approaches into chromatin with assiatnsce of viruses and the modulation of host cells and its procedure that involves the gene products called adenoviral. Lastly, being very much fascinated with biology, I would together like to research in the field of bacterial cell biology consisting of some fundamentals concepts of polarity, mitosis and cytoskeletal dynamics. Apart from this, investigating into the field of structural biology to configure the mechanism of signal transduction in immune responses and stress along with the study of molecular mechanism of cancer metastasis also sums up my interest in this field.

Among several number of universities, I have specifically opted for your esteemed university to be the best in fulfilling my career pursuit by carrying out an in-depth research in the field of biostatistics.
